About the Role
The Senior MRI Advanced Modality Technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures, specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging, within the Radiation Oncology Department.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients and equipment for imaging studies and perform procedures independently, including on-call and portable exams.
- Maintain regulatory compliance (ACR, JC) and oversee quality assurance programs.
- Lead safety, quality improvements, and departmental initiatives to enhance patient experience and staff engagement.
- Mentor new employees and clinical students under supervision.
- Assist in developing department processes and ensure regulatory standards are met.
Requirements
- Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography and/or MR (R.T.(R))
- Associate’s Degree or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience (preferred 5-10 years)
- Preferred MRI licensing and additional certifications such as CPR and IV Therapy
Skills
- Strong knowledge of MRI, radiology procedures, and safety protocols
