About the role

The Senior Mortgage Business Analyst is responsible for analyzing and documenting complex business processes and customer requirements. They work closely with business users and financial analysts to ensure that deliverables meet all business and quality requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with business users and financial analysts to interview customers and analyze business processes and customer requirements.
  • Define and assist in resolving business/technical related challenges.
  • Facilitate meetings with business and technical team members to drive towards project completion.
  • Plan and execute the management and maintenance of projects, supporting projects from initiation to implementation and conducting project reviews with impacted staff.
  • Develop user acceptance test cases based on requirements defined and prepare instructional documentation to update user documentation.
  • Absorb and establish project scope, define and maintain business analyst role-based policies and procedures.
  • Write and execute SQL queries and test external-facing web applications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree a plus.
  • 8+ years experience as a senior business analysis role.
  • 3-5 years project coordinator experience preferred.
  • Expert listening and interpersonal skills, strong written and verbal communication skills, expert organizational skills and attention to detail, strong prioritization and interpersonal skills to balance multiple demands, inquisitive, curious, highly self-motivated to learn new business concepts, expert problem-solving and analytical skills, ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language, ability to build team and external business relationships, solid balance of technical and business-related knowledge.

  • Strong mortgage experience.
