Senior Business Analyst- W2 only

Job Summary (Senior Business Analyst ) Serve as a Senior Business Analyst for major software projects focused on enhancing or rewriting applications to support Texas Education Agency s mission. Act as a liaison between program/customer stakeholders and software development teams throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC). Analyze user needs, business processes, system pain points, and capabilities to identify automation or improvement opportunities. Elicit requirements through JAD sessions, interviews, document analysis, surveys, use cases, competitive product analysis, and workflow analysis. Translate elicited information into clear business and functional requirements, user stories, use cases, SRS documents, wireframes, and mockups using standard templates. Manage requirements specifications, track fulfillment, and oversee post-implementation enhancement needs. Promote business analysis best practices and provide mentorship to peers and colleagues. Utilize tools such as Atlassian Jira and Modern Requirements for change control, requirements management, SDLC participation, and status tracking. Communicate effectively with various stakeholders and facilitate meetings as needed. Work an eight-hour day including core hours (9:00 AM 3:30 PM CT); occasional work outside normal business hours may be required. Must be located in the USA (Texas preferred); remote work available with occasional onsite requirements.
