Senior Mixed-Signal IC Design Engineer

About the role

As a Senior Mixed-Signal IC Design Engineer in ADI’s Advanced Cores Group (ACG), you will join a world-leading team developing high-speed data converters and related technology in cutting-edge FinFET processes. ACG has a strong track record of breakthrough innovations, including RF DACs, ADCs, and SerDes PHYs, integrated into SoC products for automotive, aerospace, defense, communications, and instrumentation markets.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a team of designers to implement key circuit blocks within a defined architecture.
• Work with others to understand block-level trade-offs and make decisions to achieve project goals.
• Design challenging transistor-level circuits (e.g., wide-bandwidth amplifiers, comparators, switched-capacitor circuits, precision references, LDOs).
• Develop behavioral models for circuit blocks using tools like MATLAB.
• Prepare design documents and conduct engaging design reviews.
• Collaborate with layout engineering teams.
• Perform hands-on lab work alongside evaluation engineers.

Requirements

• M.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering.
• 2+ years of experience in CMOS design.
• Strong understanding of analog/mixed-signal circuits (amplifiers, comparators, switched-capacitor circuits, voltage/current references, LDOs).
• Experience with Cadence schematic capture and SPICE simulation tools.
• Experience with MATLAB for behavioral modeling.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a geographically diverse team.

Pay

The expected wage range for this position is $110,385 to $151,808, depending on work location, experience, education, training, external market data, and internal pay equity. This role qualifies for a discretionary performance-based bonus.
