Senior Mental Health Counselor Masters - Providence Crisis Stabilization Center

Currently available schedules: full time, 1.0 FTE, Day, Evening, and Night shifts; 40 hours per week. $10,000 Hiring Bonus and Relocation Assistance available for eligible external hires that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment.

About the role

Responsible for supporting all aspects of the clinical programming for the Crisis Recovery Center. Provides direct client care services in all assigned areas that includes assessment, treatment planning, individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy, and milieu therapy. Assists leadership in the development and maintenance of standards of practice, development of quality services and new programs. The Mental Health Therapist (II) is a resource for other clinicians and demonstrates advanced clinical skill.

Other professional roles include but are not limited to consultation, education, critical inquiry and direction/mentoring of personnel. Plans and provides client, family, peer and community education and coordinates services with other health care professionals including interaction with physicians or ARNP responsible for the care of the client. Follows an individualized performance development plan to maintain current knowledge and be competent in specialty areas, support program goals. Promote program goals and objectives while modeling philosophy and values.

Responsibilities

• Engage in consultation, education, critical inquiry, and mentoring of personnel
• Plan and provide education for clients, families, peers, and the community
• Coordinate services with other healthcare professionals, including physicians or ARNPs
• Maintain current knowledge and competency in specialty areas through an individualized performance development plan
• Support and promote program goals and objectives while modeling the organization’s philosophy and values

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Social Work, or a Health-related field
• Upon hire: One of the following Alaska state licenses:
  • Alaska Masters Social Worker License
  • Alaska Clinical Social Worker License
  • Alaska Professional Counselor License
  • Alaska Marriage and Family Therapist License
  • Alaska Psychologist License
• 5 years of clinical experience

Pay

The pay range for this position is $40.11 - $62.27 per hour. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range will be determined based on relevant job experience and other applicable factors.
