Senior Mental Health Counselor Masters - Providence Youth Behavioral Health Center

This posting is for multiple openings of Senior Mental Health Counselor Master positions at Providence Youth Behavioral Residential Center in Anchorage, AK: 3 full-time positions (1.0 FTE, 40 hours per week) with variable and day shifts, and 1 per diem position (0.01 FTE, variable shift, hours as needed and not guaranteed). A $10,000 sign-on bonus and relocation assistance are available for eligible external hires that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment.

About the role

Provides direct client care services in all assigned areas, including treatment planning, individual therapy, family therapy, and group therapy. Assists leadership in developing and maintaining standards of practice, quality services, and new programs. Serves as a resource for other clinicians, demonstrating advanced clinical skills. Additional roles include consultation, education, critical inquiry, and mentoring of personnel. Plans and provides client, family, peer, and community education, coordinating services with other healthcare professionals, including physicians or ARNPs responsible for client care. Follows an individualized performance development plan to maintain current knowledge and competence in specialty areas while supporting program goals.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct client care, including treatment planning, individual therapy, family therapy, and group therapy.

• Plan and provide education for clients, families, peers, and the community.

• Follow an individualized performance development plan to maintain clinical competence and support program goals.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Social Work, or a health-related field.
• One of the following licenses upon hire:
  • Alaska Masters Social Worker License, or
  • Alaska Clinical Social Worker License, or
  • Alaska Psychologist License, or
  • Alaska Marriage and Family Therapist License, or
  • Alaska Professional Counselor License.
• 5 years of clinical experience.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $40.11 - $62.27 per hour. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range will be determined based on relevant job experience and other applicable factors.
