About the role
EMD Electronics in Santa Clara, CA is seeking Megasys Technicians to provide critical on-site support in semiconductor manufacturing environments. MEGASYS® specializes in managing gases, chemicals, and slurries, where technicians and engineers ensure semiconductor processing equipment is repaired and maintained in a wafer fab cleanroom environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform Safety Protocol checks on all equipment before maintenance or service work.
- Assist with equipment upgrade or installation projects as needed.
- Maintain and improve equipment performance by providing timely repair and maintenance for critical product deliverables.
- Foster continuous improvement as a way of life, creating a culture of execution.
- Install and upgrade tools to ensure cost control and delivery of quality work.
- Conduct thorough troubleshooting of equipment problems and report detailed findings.
- Analyze equipment malfunctions and failures, developing corrective actions accordingly.
- Maintain records of all equipment serviced, including next due dates and follow-up remarks.
- Work safely with hazardous chemicals and materials.
Requirements
- Lifting a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Working with toxic materials requiring the use of a respirator.
- Crouching, climbing a stepstool, reaching, and twisting.
Qualifications
- Minimum: High School Diploma or GED with 5+ years of experience in a semiconductor fab environment.
- Preferred: Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or other Engineering/Technical discipline.
- Vacuum experience with UHV on PVD and/or CVD systems as well as ALD Chambers.
- Ability to debug systems using schematics and manuals.
- Ability to work without supervision.
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with engineering drawings and materials used for maintenance.
- Motivated, focused self-starter with high energy.
- Excellent computer skills.

Pay
$49–$75/hour.
Schedule
12-hour compressed shifts, including nights and weekends.
