Job Summary DRS RADA Technologies located in Germantown, MD, is hiring a Senior Material Handler to join their team. The Senior Material Handler is responsible for the safe and efficient movement, storage, and tracking of materials within the facility. This role involves loading/unloading, inventory support, data entry in ERP systems, and ensuring timely shipping and receiving. The position also supports process improvements, maintains accurate records, and assists in daily operations under general supervision As a subsidiary of Leonardo DRS, DRS RADA Technologies delivers proprietary radar solutions and supports legacy avionics systems for defense customers around the world. The company is a recognized pioneer in AESA tactical radar technology, supporting missions such as active military protection, counter-drone operations, critical infrastructure security, and border surveillance. Job Responsibilities Load, unload and move materials within or near plant, warehouse, storage facility or worksite.Work with the team to improve current system, functions, and daily operations to more effectively meet goalsMaintain system critical data elementsMay monitor shipping performance to Delivery Tracking Schedule (DTS) and ensure movement of product from production through packaging to shippingPerform materials analysis and maintains records as required in support of cycle counting operations and performance measurementRead work orders or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be movedOpen containers using steel cutters, crowbar, claw hammer, or other hand toolsLoad and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by handLoad materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit, using hand toolsConvey materials to or from storage or worksites to designated areas to include the manufacturing floor by use of hand truck, electric dolly, Forklift, or other deviceCount, weigh, and record materials moved or handled in an ERP systemAttach tags or label to materials or otherwise marks informationSupport, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organizationWork under general supervision on duties and tasks that reflect substantial variety and complexity Qualifications High school diploma or GEDTwo or more years experienceMay require forklift certification U.S. Citizenship required. This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment. The salary range for this position is $40,537.00-50,671.00. This range reflects the good faith estimate of pay the employer is willing to offer at the time of posting. Several factors can influence the pay scale, including but not limited to: Federal contract labor categories and contract wage rates, collective bargaining agreements, geographic location, business considerations, scope, and responsibilities of the position, local or other applicable market conditions, and internal equity. Other factors include the candidate’s qualifications such as prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education/training, and certifications. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for: annual performance-based bonuses, equity awards, and overtime pay (for non-exempt employees as applicable.
