Job Responsibilities
- Load, unload and move materials within or near plant, warehouse, storage facility or worksite.
- Work with the team to improve current system, functions, and daily operations to more effectively meet goals.
- Maintain system critical data elements.
- Monitor shipping performance to Delivery Tracking Schedule (DTS) and ensure movement of product from production through packaging to shipping.
- Perform materials analysis and maintain records as required in support of cycle counting operations and performance measurement.
- Read work orders or follow oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.
- Open containers using steel cutters, crowbar, claw hammer, or other hand tools.
- Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.
- Load materials into vehicles and install strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit, using hand tools.
- Convey materials to or from storage or worksites to designated areas to include the manufacturing floor by use of hand truck, electric dolly, Forklift, or other device.
- Count, weigh, and record materials moved or handled in an ERP system.
- Attach tags or labels to materials or otherwise mark information.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Two or more years experience.
- May require forklift certification.
