Senior Manufacturing Planning Specialist

About the role

General Dynamics Mission Systems applies advanced technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, AR/VR, Cloud Native and Quantum Physics to solve customers' missions in cyber, RF, undersea, interstellar and everything in between. As a Senior Manufacturing Planning Specialist, you'll utilize your skills and talents to represent the production and material planning function on concurrent engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Compile and monitor monthly production schedules
• Create complex material structures in the material planning tool
• Identify process flow improvements and implement
• Prepare labor and material forecasts as requested
• Interface periodically with supply chain or suppliers on delivery issues and problem resolution

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree
• Applicants selected may be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
• U.S. citizenship is required

Skills

• Exceptional understanding of bill of material concepts and methodologies
• Solid understanding of the proposal process for both material and labor estimating
• Extremely proficient with material planning tools
• Identifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation

Pay

USD $78,033.00/Yr. - USD $84,434.00/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary.
