Senior Manager, U.S. Payroll

What You’ll Do

• Own end-to-end payroll delivery, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance
• Lead year-end payroll activities including reconciliation, tax validation, and W-2 readiness
• Thoroughly validate vendor payroll outputs prior to payroll close and statutory filings
• Own day-to-day payroll vendor relationships, including service delivery, issue management, and ongoing performance oversight
• Partner with internal stakeholders to resolve payroll issues efficiently and proactively
• Establish and maintain strong payroll controls across employee lifecycle events, earnings and deductions, off cycle payrolls, and year-end statutory reporting to ensure accuracy, compliance, and audit readiness
• Proactively identify payroll risks early and escalate appropriately
• Maintain documentation and processes to support audits and compliance reviews
• Partner with Finance, HR, and Legal on payroll-related inquiries
• Participate as a key contributor in payroll implementation and improvement projects
• Drive process improvements to reduce manual effort and operational risk
• Payroll tax compliance oversight and support
• Foster a culture of accuracy, ownership, and proactive problem-solving
• Collaborate cross-functionally to support business needs and growth

What You Bring

• 8+ years of payroll experience, including leadership responsibility
• Experience managing multi-state, multi-entity payroll
• Experience with payroll implementations, including Workday
• Hands-on experience with Workday and Ceridian Dayforce payroll systems
• Strong working knowledge of payroll compliance and regulatory requirements
• Solid judgment and strong attention to detail
• Ability to manage complexity while maintaining accuracy and control
