Senior Manager Transfer Pricing
About the role
We are looking for a growth focused Transfer Pricing Senior Manager to join our growing International Tax team. In your role, you will be responsible for:
- Build and grow a transfer pricing team in the local market
- Act as a growth catalyst and brand ambassador for RSM in bringing new clients and opportunities to the firm – teaming with colleagues on new and existing pursuits
- Participate in growth activities in the local market
- Expand services to existing clients of the firm – both transfer pricing and other tax, audit and consulting services, as applicable
- Run client engagements from start to finish, including planning, executing, directing, and completing tax and transfer pricing projects and managing to budget
- Supervise, train, and mentor staff on tax and transfer pricing projects and assess staff performance
- Evaluate and advise clients on intercompany transfers of tangible goods, intangible property, services, and loans and conduct financial and economic analyses of multinational and domestic corporations, industry and market research, economic valuations, comparative financial benchmarking, and report documentation
- Prepare and analyze financial and economic data for tax and regulatory compliance using MS Word, Excel, and various statistical sampling packages
- Review and analyze GAAP financial statements
- Contribute to thought leadership materials
- Proactively interact with key client management to gather information, resolve tax and transfer pricing related problems, and make recommendations for business and process improvements
- Provide planning assistance, audit defense/resolution, and prepare documentation
- Enhance technical skills by remaining up to date on trends, new legislative developments, tax authority decisions, and apply them to complex situations relevant to the client
Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Economics, Accounting, Business, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics or related field
- One of the following: Enrolled Agent, Certified Public Accountant, Juris Doctor, Chartered Financial Analyst
- Advanced degree in Economics, Business, International Relations, International Affairs, Tax, Accounting, Finance or related field
- Minimum of eight (8) years of progressive tax and transfer pricing experience in public accounting, consulting, or academia
- Experience in several of the following areas: transfer pricing documentation studies, transfer pricing planning and design, financial statements analysis, valuations, quantitative and competitive analysis, statistical sampling and econometrics, strategy evaluation, and/or operational performance analysis
- Experience with tax audits, dealing with tax authorities
- Four years of supervisory experience
- Able to work additional hours as needed and travel to local client sites
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Strong tax accounting skills with proficiency in GAAP
- Strong research and computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and tax software and technology
- Strong English speaking and writing skills
