About the role
Sony Interactive Entertainment is redefining the future of gaming and we believe that future is powered by people. As Director, Talent & Performance, you will lead the continued evolution of Game Changers, SIE’s global performance management framework. You'll integrate performance with our broader talent ecosystem—including succession planning, calibration, and career development—ensuring our people processes are tightly aligned to strategic business outcomes, leadership behaviors, and a culture of development.
Responsibilities
- Lead and continuously evolve Game Changers, SIE’s enterprise-wide performance program, with a focus on clarity, fairness, and impact across 10,000+ global employees.
- Design and implement performance frameworks that enable meaningful differentiation, clear goal alignment, and values-driven development feedback.
- Oversee the adoption and optimization of BetterWorks for all performance, feedback, calibration, and talent review processes—including workflows, tools, and AI-assisted features.
- Integrate performance with talent management processes such as promotions, succession planning, 9-box talent reviews, and internal mobility initiatives.
- Collaborate with L&D, Rewards, HRBPs, and business leaders to build scalable performance enablement resources (e.g., manager trainings, toolkits, e-learnings).
- Apply behavioral science and data insights to increase performance transparency, employee engagement, and leadership capability.
- Ensure alignment between performance programs and SIE’s values (Passionate, Trailblazer, One) and our leadership behaviors.
- Partner with the People Brand and Communications team to reinforce the tone, consistency, and impact of performance messaging.
- Monitor and report performance health metrics, calibration patterns, and adoption KPIs to stakeholders including the CHRO and executive team.
Requirements
- 10+ years in Talent Management, Performance, or Organizational Development roles, including at least 5 years in a global, matrixed organization.
- Proven experience designing and executing enterprise-wide performance programs.
- Strategic thinker with operational chops—you can zoom out to reimagine systems and zoom in to ensure flawless execution.
- Executive presence with the ability to influence, coach, and partner with senior leaders across functions and geographies.
- Change-savvy, data-literate, and deeply curious—you leverage analytics, stakeholder feedback, and future-of-work trends to drive better outcomes.

Pay
The estimated base pay range for this role is $186,600—$279,800 USD.
Schedule
Remote US, San Mateo & NYC preferred.
