Senior Manager, Supply Chain Finance

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement Strategic Sourcing, Procurement and Contracting KPIs
  • Establish and implement a methodology for tracking Procurement-led savings; validate savings and associated P&L and cash impacts
  • Conduct spend analysis by commodity and identify risks and opportunities for VG’s supply chain
  • Support contract negotiations focusing on payment terms, milestone payments, escalation calculations, volume rebates and performance-based incentives
  • Develop analytics to ensure compliance and effectiveness of controls within the procure-to-pay process (e.g. requisitions, POs, invoicing)
  • Maintain purchase price variance reporting and ensure these variances are highlighted to the procurement team for action or mitigation
  • Prepare financial reports and analysis of key supply chain and procurement performance indicators to provide insights and support decision-making
  • Support the forecasting of purchasing volumes in conjunction with Demand Planning and partner with procurement to develop pricing agreements with key suppliers
  • Identify and implement vendor-managed inventory opportunities to optimize materials management process and improve working capital
  • Support Rent vs Buy and Make vs Buy analysis; prepare new business cases supporting key strategic commercial deals
  • Develop mitigation strategies for financial risks associated with VG’s supply chain
  • Coach and mentor junior team members
  • Aid in developing and maintaining systems and analytical tools where required; drive automation where possible to improve efficiency on reporting
  • Support ad hoc requests from Supply Chain and Finance Teams

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or related field; MBA/Master of Finance is a plus
  • 5+ years of professional experience in Finance, preferably with exposure to operations and supply chain
  • Understanding of key financial concepts and the financial impact of operational decisions
  • Curiosity and ability to think creatively with high standards of accuracy and precision
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of MS Office (mainly Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI) and SAP; ability to quickly extract relevant data and convert into simplified analysis and communication is critical
  • Highly analytical with demonstrated experience in critical thinking and analytical problem-solving
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written with the ability to simplify complex projects and concisely convey key insights
  • Passion for being a part of a dynamic team environment with rapidly changing assignments and priorities
  • Initiative and ownership of work with strong attention to detail
  • Able to accurately prepare professional daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports
  • Flexibility to travel occasionally (~1x/month)

Qualifications

  • Experience in the LNG/Oil & Gas industries preferred
  • Experience with SAP preferred
