Responsibilities
- Own the performance of planning, procurement, logistics, and warehouse operations across the business
- Ensure materials are consistently available to support production with minimal disruptions
- Reduce dependency on expediting by building forward-looking plans
- Lead a team of buyer/planners and warehouse personnel with clear expectations and accountability
- Promote consistency and strategic focus in a high-energy, results-driven environment
- Build and Own Inventory Strategy
- Define and implement safety stock policies based on supplier risk, lead time, and part criticality
- Eliminate imbalance between excess inventory and material shortages
- Create visibility into inventory health and risk across the organization
- Drive disciplined, data-based decision making rather than reactive adjustments
- Partner with cross-functional teams to make strategic inventory decisions
- Create repeatable systems and planning processes that improve reliability and reduce variability
- Lead supply planning activities and improve forecast alignment with operations
- Partner in the design and implementation of MRP systems and tools
- Establish clear planning routines (weekly/monthly) with defined ownership
- Bring structure and clarity to an environment that lacks consistent planning processes
- Transform the supply chain from reactive to structured and predictable
- Develop and standardize processes across: Inventory management, Supplier performance management, Procurement workflow
- Use data and metrics to drive continuous improvement and decision making
- Bring order and clarity to areas with limited structure today
- Work effectively across functions to align decisions and reduce risk
- Provide clear supply chain input into supplier selection and product decisions
- Communicate risks, trade-offs, and recommendations in a direct and constructive way
- Build trust by being consistent, transparent, and solutions-oriented
- Build capability and structure within the supply chain team
- Set clear goals and performance expectations for direct reports
- Coach and develop team members to improve capability and ownership

Requirements
- Familiarity with LEAN practices and processes i.e. 6S / problem solving / process improvement / daily management/ Takt time / one-piece flow / standard work etc.
- Demonstrated cost savings/productivity projects required.
- Working knowledge of financial and budgetary experience.
- Knowledge of medical device design control process and strategic involvement throughout different phases.
- Strong SAP knowledge and understanding of ERP systems used for Procurement and Production.
- In-depth understanding of medical device manufacturing techniques, methodologies, and philosophies.
- Knowledge and experience with external standards: ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and 21 CFR 820 (FDA cGMP/QSR), EU MDD, TGA, MHW, especially pertaining to product development, good manufacturing practices, supplier auditing & management, quality control (GD&T, MRB, etc.), CAPA and customer complaints.
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of progressive leadership experience in Supply Chain and/or Production with a minimum of 5+ years in the medical device/biotech/pharma industry.
- BA Degree in Business/Supply Chain or Business field.
- Experience in Medical Device industry or in a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
- Experience in supply chain, logistical, warehousing or distribution is a must.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 50% of the time.
- Occasionally move about inside the office and travel to and from office buildings to access file cabinets, employee offices, office machinery, etc.
- This may include, but is not limited to, bending and walking.
- Must be able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer printer, computer keyboard, calculator, etc.
- Able to listen and speak with employees and vendors.
- Ability to exchange accurate information in these situations.
- View and type on computer screens for extended periods of time.
Pay
$175,000 - $195,000 + Bonus
