Senior Manager, Solutions Engineering - State, Local, Educational (SLED) Corrections and Campus Security

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Manager, Solutions Engineering - State, Local, Educational (SLED) Corrections and Campus Security to join the team of a leader in the Aerospace & Defense space. This role will build and guide a national Solutions Engineering function focused on corrections and campus security use cases, with an emphasis on technical quality, customer engagement, and operational excellence. You will partner closely with Sales, Product, and Engineering to translate customer needs into effective solutions, strengthen deal strategy, and improve the overall customer experience. The position also serves as a key escalation point for critical issues while helping define scalable frameworks for new and evolving problem sets. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $172,000 – $215,000 annually Responsibilities Build and lead a national Solutions Engineering team for corrections and campus security Set high standards for technical quality in demos and customer documentation Manage resource allocation and prioritize Solutions Engineering efforts Drive technical wins in corrections and campus security sectors Serve as the senior technical escalation point for critical customer issues Develop and implement operational frameworks for new problem sets Represent customer needs to Product and Engineering teams Qualifications 5+ years of relevant technical experience in customer-facing roles 1+ years of experience leading a technical team or serving as a technical lead Strong understanding of drone technology and Public Safety sUAS operations Working knowledge of Public Safety technologies like CAD and VMS Proven track record in hiring, onboarding, and developing technical talent Comfortable operating within a Sales organization and managing deal strategies Excellent communication skills for diverse audiences Benefits Remote work flexibility 30% travel for customer engagements and team activities Comprehensive health insurance plans Paid vacation, sick leave, and holiday pay 401K savings plan with company contributions Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
