Senior Manager Safety (LIRR)
Responsibilities
- Works closely with construction, procurement, legal, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders such as Operations and Commissioning teams.
- Critical stakeholders in the further development and implementation of MTA C&D's contractors.
- Safety Management Program includes, among other responsibilities, management and tracking of the Contractor Pre-qualification process, monitoring and documenting metrics across all Business Unit construction projects, management of the 3rd-party safety audit program to ensure adherence with crucial MTA C&D contract language and establishing expectations and tools for Project Management to validate compliance with established contract agreements.
- Maintain and oversee the construction safety contractor management program.
- Monitor adherence to Owner Controlled Insurance Program (OCIP) requirements and procedures.
- Monitor compliance with all current OSHA requirements related to specific construction projects.
Requirements
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's degrees in Engineering, Architecture, Construction, Safety Engineering, Safety Management or Construction Safety. Minimum of seven (7) years of related experience.
- Competencies: Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements; experience with construction safety contractor management programs or providing oversight for 3rd party services/contractors; possess a valid OSHA 30-hour card in the Construction Industry under five years old; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; proficient computer skills (Windows environment, Microsoft Office, PeopleSoft, Oracle, etc.); strong business administrative skills (presentations, report and letter writing, time management, etc.); driver’s license (required for some Business Units).

Final salary is determined by experience, skill set, and alignment with compensation practices. The posted range reflects expected compensation and may be updated as market or business needs evolve.
Pay
Salary Range: $105,575 to $131,969
Schedule
Hours Of Work: 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM or as required (7.5HR/ DAY)
