Senior Manager, Project Leadership

About the role

Lead the most complex or critical projects.
Manage execution of projects in accordance with organization's new product introduction management methodology.
Develop project plans, budgets and implementation strategies.
Directly and indirectly manage the work of project managers.
Monitor and report on progress and performance against the project plan.
Identify and resolve risks and issues to minimize delays.
Evaluate and authorize changes that significantly impact the scope, budget, or timeline of a project.
Select and manage ongoing relationships with external contractors so that the organization receives satisfactory standards of service.
Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop a team to ensure that projects are completed on-time, within budget and according to project specifications.
Decompose ambiguity into a structured launch plan, clarifying tradeoffs and driving alignment across senior stakeholders.
Confirm the ongoing strategic rationale and value proposition for projects.
Ensure Division-wide thinking and problem-solving are incorporated into project execution.
Liaise with other project leaders, functional managers, and management to prioritize activities across programs to balance resource availability, program deliverables and schedule, and business needs.
Executes programs to completion and assures successful market entry, or makes a timely recommendation to management to terminate a program.
Identify areas for process improvement, and define and implement solutions.
Serve as a mentor, trainer, and change agent to other stakeholders as processes are defined and implemented.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a business or technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Successfully led several high complexity projects from beginning to end.
  • Demonstrated expertise in project management tools and processes.
  • Experience in product development, project management and/or business process implementation, ideally in the fields of medical devices and/or pharmaceuticals.
  • Experience with hardware and software development.
  • Experience in running clinical trials and generating outcomes to support market access.
  • Demonstrated excellent leadership fundamentals and public speaking.
  • Cross-functional experiences in the areas of R&D, Commercial, Clinical, Regulatory, Quality, Supply/Demand planning and/or Manufacturing, are desirable.
  • The ability to collect information from multiple sources, synthesize, integrate, and resolve conflicting requirements and cross-functional issues.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to work and negotiate with a wide variety of stakeholders at all levels of the organization and across variety of departments to align plans and resolve conflict.
  • Process-oriented thinking, focused on continuous improvement and lessons learned; have demonstrated ability to define and implement complex and interdependent business processes.
  • General knowledge of regulations and standards related to medical devices (eg. FDA, ISO, QSR design controls.)

Pay

$148,700.00 – $297,300.00.
