Client Overview

Vernovis is partnering with a leading energy infrastructure organization focused on developing and operating utility-scale power generation assets. This organization is investing heavily in large-scale natural gas-fired generation projects and is seeking an experienced project leader to support the successful execution of complex power plant construction initiatives.

What You'll Do

• Lead all phases of combined-cycle and simple-cycle power generation project execution from development through Commercial Operation Date (COD)
• Manage EPC contractors, OEMs, engineering partners, and internal stakeholders to ensure project success
• Establish and maintain project scope, schedules, budgets, risk registers, and execution plans for projects ranging from $300MM to $1B+
• Oversee construction activities including civil work, foundations, turbine installation, HRSG erection, and electrical/I&C installation
• Monitor contractor productivity, safety performance, quality standards, and project milestones while driving schedule adherence
• Manage contract administration, change orders, claims resolution, and commercial negotiations with EPC and OEM partners
• Support commissioning, startup, performance testing, and successful operational handoff to plant operations teams
• Provide project reporting, executive presentations, and stakeholder communications while ensuring compliance with regulatory and environmental requirements

Experience You'll Have

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related technical discipline
• 10+ years of experience managing power generation, utility, or heavy industrial construction projects with demonstrated EPC leadership experience
• Experience delivering large-scale combined-cycle or gas turbine generation projects on schedule and within budget
• Strong knowledge of CTG/CCGT plant design, HRSG systems, high-voltage electrical systems, and grid interconnection requirements
• Proven experience managing project budgets, schedules, contractor performance, and complex stakeholder relationships

Nice to Have

• Master's degree or MBA
• PMP Certification and/or OSHA 30 Certification
• Experience working with major OEMs including GE, Siemens, or Mitsubishi Energy
