Responsibilities
- Lead the strategy, prioritization, and delivery of complex digital health initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives and consumer needs.
- Manage, mentor, and develop Project Leaders, fostering a high-performing organization while providing leadership across cross-functional and matrixed teams.
- Define and maintain program roadmaps, business cases, scope, schedules, budgets, and release strategies.
- Drive portfolio prioritization and strategic decision-making, balancing business value, resource constraints, dependencies, and timelines.
- Partner with stakeholders across R&D, Commercial, Clinical, Regulatory, Quality, Manufacturing, and other functions to ensure successful program delivery.
- Establish clear program objectives, success metrics, and KPIs, and hold teams accountable for results.
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks, issues, and dependencies while driving timely resolution of complex cross-functional challenges.
- Lead product launches, market introductions, and geographic expansion efforts, ensuring readiness and execution excellence.
- Evaluate and approve significant changes to program scope, budget, timeline, and resource allocation.
- Influence and align senior leaders and stakeholders by translating ambiguity into clear strategies, priorities, and actionable plans.
- Develop compelling executive presentations and communications, leveraging strong storytelling skills to effectively convey program status, business impact, risks, tradeoffs, and recommendations.
- Present complex information clearly and effectively, enabling informed decision-making and organizational alignment.
- Champion PMO best practices, change management, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning, execution, and delivery performance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, and vendors to ensure successful business outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of experience leading product development, program management, or strategic initiatives within the medical device, digital health, or healthcare industry.
- Proven track record of successfully leading complex, cross-functional programs from concept through launch, preferably involving digital products.
- Strong stakeholder management, influencing, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build alignment and resolve conflict across functions, organizations, and external partners.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and storytelling skills, including the ability to create compelling presentations and effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize information from multiple sources, balance competing priorities, and drive resolution of complex cross-functional issues.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive results.
- Experience leading, mentoring, or managing project managers, project leaders, or other cross-functional team members.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading digital health, connected device, mobile application, or software-enabled healthcare products.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with a track record of delivering high-quality work on schedule.
- Highly motivated, goal-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with competing deadlines.
- Working knowledge of medical device regulations and standards, including FDA, ISO, and QSR Design Controls.
Benefits
The base pay for this position is $148,700.00 – $297,300.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
