About the role

NP Digital is seeking an energetic, data-driven, and innovative Senior Manager, Programmatic to join our remote Paid Media team. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of managing programmatic budgets of over $1M per month and understands what it takes to set and win competitive bids while meeting campaign KPIs. Candidates should have strong knowledge of DV360 or similar programmatic platforms, as well as Google Ads for YouTube, Demand Gen, and display campaigns. They should also have a good grasp of optimizing performance based on campaign objectives—whether performance or awareness. Equally important are the abilities to communicate recommendations and performance analysis to clients and colleagues. To qualify, applicants must reside and be eligible to work in the United States and be willing to work East Coast hours. Quarterly travel to Washington, D.C. is required for in-person client meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with clients to deliver programmatic lead generation media strategies and tactical recommendations for lead generation and consideration objectives
  • Project estimated campaign performance results based on client budgets, past performance, and benchmark costs and rates
  • Request data from vendors to help with the programmatic planning and execution process
  • Build campaigns based on client-approved plans in DSP (DV360) and Google Ads (YouTube, Demand Gen, and Display)
  • Execute day-to-day trading, including campaign bid management and daily optimizations across various paid media tactics, such as display, video, digital audio, and native
  • Steward clients’ budgets through meticulous management of daily or lifetime spending and monthly pacing
  • Implement and monitor direct, programmatic guaranteed, and private marketplace deals with select media partners
  • Guide tracking and floodlight tag setup alongside the Data, Analytics & Insights team
  • Identify third-party data segments at efficient CPMs for audience targeting
  • Follow department media buying processes to ensure campaigns run accurately
  • Troubleshoot and notify necessary parties of any platform and/or partner issues to rectify campaign delivery and/or performance
  • Develop, deliver, and present client reporting on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis
  • Respond to client questions and ad hoc requests in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with internal teams and departments to share programmatic insights that can be leveraged across paid search, paid social, and SEO efforts
  • Connect with client creative teams to request assets and provide creative best practices, specifications, and performance insights
  • Stay up to date on recent platform updates and how to apply them to clients’ campaigns
  • Meet with vendors to learn about their capabilities for potential client use

Requirements

  • 5+ years of programmatic buying experience
  • Recent hands-on knowledge of Display & Video 360, Campaign Manager 360, and Google Ads platforms (specifically YouTube, Demand Gen, and Display campaigns)
  • Experience managing monthly DSP budgets exceeding $1 million
  • Thrives on testing, building, and improving programmatic media campaign performance
  • Excellent internal and external communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to provide clear executional direction to other team members
  • Meticulous attention to detail and data analysis to ensure campaigns run accurately and uncover insights that lead to recommendations
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize time and workload
  • Responsive to constructive feedback to foster personal and professional growth
  • Team player who is willing to help others whenever needed

Nice to have

  • Experience working with a subscription-based company
  • Knowledge of other DSPs, such as The Trade Desk, Amazon, Yahoo, etc.
  • Experience managing and training junior team members
  • Additional professional certifications, such as Google Analytics

Pay

Base Salary: USD $95,000.00 to $115,000.00, depending on experience and skills. Discretionary annual bonus: Up to 10% of annual salary.
