About the role
The Senior Manager Pfizer Patient Services (PPS) Primary Care Strategy is responsible for driving the development of patient services strategy, and programmatic design, for Pfizer’s Primary Care products. The role sits within the PPS Primary Care BU Strategy vertical and ensures that Primary Care patient services programs are grounded in a comprehensive understanding of the patient journey and patients' experiences with Pfizer's Primary Care treatments.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate interactions between Patient Services teams and Business Unit partners, ensuring programs meet patient / healthcare provider needs and align to Business Unit strategies
- Support the development and design of impactful patient service programs for all priority on-market and pipeline brands
- Track brand needs, economics, strategies, timelines, and priorities while staying abreast of therapeutic area trends
- Identify, evaluate, and manage cost-effective vendor solutions
- Manage and optimize PPS spend at the BU-level
- Facilitate integration of PPS leadership strategies and performance in marketing plans, therapeutic area planning documents, and executive updates
- Proactively establish strong internal and external relationships across PPS, Primary Care, US Market Access (USMA), and enabling functions (e.g., Digital, Analytics, Chief Commercial Office)
- Ensure program operating procedures are in alignment with legal, regulatory and compliance standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MPH, etc.) preferred
- 6+ years’ experience in Strategy / Management Consulting, or related area required
- Experience supporting Primary Care brands preferred, but not required
- Strong enterprise thinking, strategic planning, and financial acumen, with a data-driven mindset and the ability to connect broader organizational goals to BU-specific strategies
- Extensive cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management experience
- Proven ability to identify opportunities, anticipate challenges, and guide decision-making at scale
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and prior experience in presenting to functional leaders
- Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills, including technical proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
- Commitment to receiving development and coaching from leadership
