Senior Manager of SEC & External Reporting

Howmet Aerospace is searching for a Senior Manager of SEC & External Reporting. This individual reports through the Controllership organization and works closely with the Controllership team, Financial Planning and Analysis, Investor Relations, Corporate Communications, Legal, Treasury, and Segment colleagues.
Responsibilities
- Preparation and coordination of all SEC financial filings, including the annual report on Form 10-K; quarterly reports on Form 10-Q; proxy filings and miscellaneous reports on Form 8-K.
- Assistance with the preparation and review of all quarterly earnings materials.
- Coordination with external auditors (PricewaterhouseCoopers) in all aspects of their auditing and reporting of external reporting.
- Preparation of various external reporting and regulatory filings with state, federal, and international agencies, including ESG reporting.
- Compliance with all aspects of Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) internal controls with respect to external reporting requirements.
- Developing and implementing policies and procedures for new accounting pronouncements and developing global accounting and reporting standards.
- Analyzing monthly financial results and resolving complex accounting issues.
- Assisting with external reporting accounting aspects of acquisition and divestiture projects, including pro forma financial statements and significance tests.
- Occasional domestic travel, up to approximately 5% annually, based on business needs.

- Ability to work overtime, including weekends and holidays, coinciding with quarterly earnings, SEC filings, and annual report preparation.
- Ability to identify and resolve reporting issues expediently to support the Company's accelerated closing process.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited university.
- Minimum of five years of accounting experience, including working knowledge of SEC and U.S. GAAP reporting requirements, and Extensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL).
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States; verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience using Workiva software and/or Hyperion.
- Experience with a Big Four or nationally-recognized accounting firm.
- Three years of experience in public accounting.
- Three years of experience with SEC and U.S. GAAP accounting and reporting.
- Three years of experience in assisting and preparing SEC filings.
- Knowledge of due diligence objectives and procedures; experience working on acquisitions and divestitures; knowledge of purchase accounting rules and implementation issues.
Pay
Salary Range: $140,000 - $165,000 per year (actual compensation is subject to variation due to factors such as education, experience, skillset, and/or location).
