Duties and Responsibilities
- Aid in the preparation and review of Form 10-Q and/or Form 10-K filings.
- Draft and/or review financial statements, footnotes, and MD&A support.
- Support XBRL/iXBRL tagging and tie-out processes in Workiva.
- Prepare or review the consolidated statement of cash flows (indirect method).
- Resolve cash flow classification questions and create supporting disclosure schedules.
- Prepare stock-based compensation journal entries, reconciliations, and rollforward schedules.
- Review equity report data and support ASC 718 disclosure drafting.
- Support goodwill impairment analysis and intangible asset rollforwards (ASC 350/360).
- Support close activities including journal entry review, reconciliations, and flux analysis.
- Prepare PBC schedules and respond to auditor inquiries for audit/quarterly review support.
Required Experience and Skills
- Active CPA.
- 10+ years progressive accounting experience in a public company environment or supporting public-company clients.
- Proven experience owning or supporting 10-Q and/or 10-K filings end-to-end.
- Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including ASC 718, ASC 230, ASC 350/360.
- Working knowledge of SEC reporting rules (Reg S-X / Reg S-K) and PCAOB standards.
- Workiva experience (SEC filing workflows, tie-outs, XBRL/iXBRL tagging).
- NetSuite proficiency (GL review, journal entries, report extraction).
- Advanced Excel skills.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with equity reporting tools such as Carta, E*TRADE Equity Edge, Morgan Stanley, or similar.
- Experience in a high-growth enterprise software / technology environment.
Education
- Active CPA required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent professional experience.
Pay and Benefits
$85/hr (W2 contract) 40 hours/week Hybrid schedule (onsite Mon–Wed in Palo Alto, CA)
