Responsibilities
- Perform month-end close in accordance with internal close schedule
- Prepare various accruals and ensure proper timing and classifications of expenses
- Absorb and assist in the preparation of financial reports and analyses of period close activities
- Coordinate and engage in variance review meetings during close periods
- Partner with FP&A and/or operation management to resolve non-reconciling items and other analysis of monthly activities
- Maintain completeness and accuracy of the general ledger accounts on a monthly basis through account reconciliations
- Review and assist in ownership of treasury, billing and accounts payable
- Assist as needed on projects, such as internal and external audits
- Assess and analyze areas for process improvements
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in corporate accounting
- Certified Public Accountant or ability to sit or plans to sit for examination in near future
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Finance systems
- Big 4 experience or public company experience preferred
- Software industry experience a plus
- Demonstrate working knowledge of GAAP rules and requirements
- Show strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Display excellent judgment and decision-making skills to work independently
- Show high level dedication to adhering to deadlines and attention to detail
- Show excellent verbal and written communication skills and a commitment to collaborate with people
- Show highly organized and a proven ability to work with minimal directions as well as resourceful and independent in solving problems
Education Requirements
- BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business-related field required
