Responsibilities

  • Perform month-end close in accordance with internal close schedule
  • Prepare various accruals and ensure proper timing and classifications of expenses
  • Absorb and assist in the preparation of financial reports and analyses of period close activities
  • Coordinate and engage in variance review meetings during close periods
  • Partner with FP&A and/or operation management to resolve non-reconciling items and other analysis of monthly activities
  • Maintain completeness and accuracy of the general ledger accounts on a monthly basis through account reconciliations
  • Review and assist in ownership of treasury, billing and accounts payable
  • Assist as needed on projects, such as internal and external audits
  • Assess and analyze areas for process improvements

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in corporate accounting
  • Certified Public Accountant or ability to sit or plans to sit for examination in near future
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Finance systems
  • Big 4 experience or public company experience preferred
  • Software industry experience a plus
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of GAAP rules and requirements
  • Show strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • Display excellent judgment and decision-making skills to work independently
  • Show high level dedication to adhering to deadlines and attention to detail
  • Show excellent verbal and written communication skills and a commitment to collaborate with people
  • Show highly organized and a proven ability to work with minimal directions as well as resourceful and independent in solving problems

Education Requirements

  • BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business-related field required
