Senior Manager - Marketing Strategy
About the role
As the Senior Manager - Marketing Strategy, you will drive data-driven retention and churn-reduction programs for Verizon Business Group. You’ll develop targeted marketing initiatives, build business cases for financial approval, and provide strategic analytical support to leadership. This role acts as a bridge between Sales, Marketing, Business Intelligence, Finance, and Martech teams to align on retention goals and strategies.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage customer retention and churn reduction strategies.
- Create business cases to justify investment in retention and churn reduction initiatives.
- Track and report on the performance of retention campaigns and initiatives.
- Lead strategic analysis and insight generation to support retention strategies, interfacing directly with Sales executive leadership.
- Utilize customer analytics to understand customer profiles, engagement, and activity across online and offline channels, informing audience segmentation and communication strategies.
- Analyze base performance by distilling complex data sets into actionable insights to refine marketing campaign strategies.
- Package fact-based recommendations and “tell a story” with data to leadership.
- Act as a conduit to cross-functional teams, including Business Intelligence, Martech, and Finance, to align on retention goals and strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
- Six or more years of relevant experience, demonstrated through work, military experience, or specialized training.
- Experience with marketing analytics and driving actionable insights.
- Experience with data visualization and communicating strategies and outcomes to stakeholders at all levels.
Qualifications
- A Master's degree in Marketing, Business Administration (MBA), Communications, or a related field.
- Telecom or device marketing experience.
- Experience analyzing large datasets to derive actionable insights, with familiarity in tools such as Google Analytics, CRM software, or data visualization platforms like Tableau.
- Understanding of direct marketing and Sales best practices across key tactics (Email, Direct Mail, SMS, Digital, Outbound, etc).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Schedule
This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of three days per week in the office, with the remainder worked from home. Scheduled weekly hours are 40.
Pay
The annual salary range for this full-time position is $105,000.00 - $201,000.00, with variations based on location:
- Illinois: $115,500.00 - $201,000.00
- Maryland: $115,500.00 - $201,000.00
- New York: $115,500.00 - $201,000.00
This role is incentive-based, offering potential for additional earnings. Part-time compensation will be adjusted to reflect hours worked.
