About the Role

The Senior Manager - Marketing Strategy is a highly analytical and strategic role focused on decreasing churn within the Verizon Business Group through data-driven strategies and targeted offers/actions. This individual will develop marketing programs that incentivize retention and loyalty, build business cases to justify programs, and obtain financial approvals. They will work closely with the VBG Base Management and Defend teams, providing bottom-up recommendations and adapting to top-down executive requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage customer retention and churn reduction strategies.
  • Develop business cases to support investment in retention and churn reduction initiatives.
  • Track and report on the performance of retention campaigns and initiatives.
  • Lead strategic analysis and insight generation to support retention strategies, interfacing directly with Sales executive leadership.
  • Utilize customer analytics to understand customer profiles, engagement, and activity across channels, tying behavioral data to communication strategies.
  • Analyze base performance, distilling complex data sets into actionable insights to refine marketing campaign strategies.
  • Act as a conduit to cross-functional teams, including Business Intelligence, Martech, and Finance, to align on retention goals and strategies.
  • Develop executive-level presentations and craft compelling slides to communicate strategies and results.
  • Understand Sales/Field feedback and conduct problem-solving analysis to aid CRM communications and strategy building.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant experience in marketing analytics, data visualization, and stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

  • Experience with marketing analytics and driving actionable insights.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau) and CRM software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Marketing, Business Administration (MBA), Communications, or a related field.
  • Telecom or device marketing experience.
  • Experience analyzing large datasets to derive actionable insights.
  • Understanding of direct marketing and Sales best practices (Email, Direct Mail, SMS, Digital, Outbound, etc.).

Pay

The annual salary range varies by location:

  • General locations: $105,000.00 - $201,000.00.
  • Illinois, Maryland, New York: $115,500.00 - $201,000.00.

This is an incentive-based position with potential to earn more. Compensation for part-time roles is adjusted based on hours.

Schedule

This is a hybrid role with a defined work location, requiring a minimum of three days per week in the office and the remainder working from home. Scheduled weekly hours: 40.
