Responsibilities

  • Turn complex healthcare data into clear strategic direction for the Advanced Surgery business.
  • Lead market intelligence, forecasting, and competitive insights while shaping how the division understands its markets and future opportunities.
  • Own annual global market sizing and forecasting, partnering with regional teams and aligning assumptions with Finance.
  • Deliver biannual market share and competitive landscape analyses to inform portfolio and long-range planning.
  • Manage quarterly U.S. market size and growth reporting by integrating SG2, IQVIA, DRG, Premier, and internal performance data.
  • Conduct hands-on Premier analytics to understand procedural trends, product utilization, and specialty-level dynamics.
  • Translate complex data into clear, executive-ready insights and strategic recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Support M&A, licensing, and partnership evaluations through market sizing, competitive assessments, and scenario modeling.
  • Build compelling narratives and present findings to cross-functional stakeholders across Marketing, R&D, Medical, Regulatory, Finance, and Commercial.

Requirements

Experience analyzing healthcare or medical device datasets such as Premier, SG2, DRG, IQVIA, or similar claims and utilization sources.

Strong capability in Excel based modeling, forecasting, and market sizing.

Familiarity with medical coding, procedure based analytics, and claims or charge level data.

A demonstrated ability to translate complex analyses into clear, strategic insights for executive audiences.

Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence across functions and levels.

A proactive, intellectually curious mindset and comfort working independently on highly visible, recurring deliverables.

A collaborative, low ego approach and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Business Administration, Statistics, Economics, Healthcare Management, or a related field.

Minimum of 7 years of experience in market research, data analysis, or a related field.

Proven success in leading market intelligence initiatives and driving strategic decision-making.

Experience with SAS, R, or SPSS; SQL or Python.

Strong understanding of medical coding, procedure-based analytics, and claims or charge-level data.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data and insights to senior leadership.

Skills

Advanced proficiency in Excel, including advanced modeling, forecasting, and market sizing techniques.

Experience with SAS, R, or SPSS; SQL or Python.

Strong understanding of medical coding, procedure-based analytics, and claims or charge-level data.

Ability to translate complex data into clear, strategic insights for executive audiences.

Pay

The estimated base salary for this position is $152,000 - $209,000. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.

Schedule

This position can be based in Deerfield, IL or remote within EST or CST time zones.
