About the role

We are seeking a Sr. Manager of Influencer Strategy & PR, a dual-threat operator who brings deep relationships in the creator community and the strategic and business acumen to manage budgets, build contracts from scratch and negotiate deals that protect and grow the brand.

Responsibilities

  • Influencer Strategy & Partnerships:
    • Lead paid and organic creator partnership processes end-to-end: strategy, outreach, negotiations, talent and agent relationships, content briefing, and timeline management.
    • Leverage personal, direct relationships with creators, makeup artists, agents, and talent managers.
    • Scout, recruit, and activate creators aligned with Haus Labs’ brand values of diversity, inclusion, creativity, and kindness.
    • Develop talent briefs that effectively articulate campaign strategy and inspire meaningful content and storytelling.
    • Develop gifting strategies that reflect the consumer we're reaching to increase EMV, build organic relationships and keep products top of mind in creator content.
    • Keep pulse on social media and beauty trends; communicate learnings back to the larger team in ways that can be quickly implemented.
  • PR & Communications:
    • Develop and execute integrated PR strategies for product launches, brand moments, and retailer campaigns that align with broader marketing objectives.
    • Liaise with and manage PR agency partners — ensuring the brand is building impactful editor relationships, securing press opportunities, and executing creative pitching and events.
    • Cook up and review press materials including press releases, educational collateral, and product mailers timed to the PR calendar.
    • Lead beauty awards submissions end-to-end, including product needs, deadlines, and coordination with PR partners.
    • Address PR issues swiftly in coordination with leadership and legal teams when needed.
  • Contracts, Budgets & Business Operations:
    • Own the full contract lifecycle for influencer and talent partnerships: draft, review, redline, and negotiate agreements from the ground up.
    • Negotiate deal terms — usage rights, exclusivity windows, deliverable counts, payment structures — with a confident, brand-protective approach that also builds long-term talent goodwill.
    • Build and manage influencer and PR program budgets; track spend, forecast, and reconcile actuals with strong attention to detail and accountability.
    • Identify cost efficiencies and ROI opportunities across paid partnerships, gifting programs, and PR activations.
  • Analytics & Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Pull, analyze, and report metrics for paid and organic results from both qualitative and quantitative perspectives; clearly present data, findings, and insights to leadership and founder teams.
    • Collaborate cross-functionally with social, marketing, and digital teams to develop relevant partnerships and stay ahead of the ever-changing social landscape.

Qualifications

  • LA County-based: hybrid work environment, 3 days in office per week.
  • 5+ years of experience in influencer marketing and/or PR at a beauty brand, with direct experience owning both functions.
  • A self-identified “Makeup Junkie” with deep, genuine passion for beauty content, trends, and community.
  • A true connector: you have personal relationships with creators, agents, and editors. You’re not cold-emailing — you’re texting.
  • Contract-literate and deal-savvy: you have hands-on experience reviewing, drafting, and negotiating influencer and talent contracts. You can spot a bad clause, push back on unfavorable terms, and close deals efficiently.
  • Budget ownership experience: you’ve managed and reconciled marketing budgets, tracked ROI, and reported spend to leadership.
  • Strong negotiation skills — able to secure the best terms for the brand while maintaining authentic, positive long-term creator and agency relationships.
  • Prior experience working on a founder brand or with founder teams, ideally.
  • Experience working with Sephora, ideally on a global level, ideally.
  • Expert ability to utilize influencer campaign management and analytics platforms to track and report data and ROI.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and organizational skills with an ongoing commitment to high-quality results.
  • Kind, positive, collaborative attitude and comfort in start-up culture.
  • Natural networking and social skills; able to create authentic, long-term connections with creators and partners.
