Senior Manager II, Site Engineer - Supply Chain

About the role

Creates strategic leadership partnerships with the General Manager, Assistant General Manager, and Process Improvement Manager to drive end-to-end improvements in the Distribution Center. Manages workloads of Process Quality Engineers to balance network-driven projects and building-specific improvements. Applies continuous improvement tools such as Root Cause Analysis, Time and Motion Studies, Statistical Process Control, Process Deviation, 5S, and Six Sigma to eliminate losses and sustain process improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the Walmart Performance System by engaging leaders and demonstrating program effectiveness through problem-solving and process improvement.
  • Supports the Daily Management System review and response process through root cause analysis and countermeasure implementation.
  • Collaborates in network One Best Way standard implementation and deviation process.
  • Drives execution of multiple business plans and projects by:
    • Identifying customer and operational needs.
    • Developing and communicating business plans and priorities.
    • Removing barriers and obstacles impacting performance.
    • Providing resources and identifying performance standards.
    • Measuring progress and adjusting performance accordingly.
    • Developing contingency plans and supporting continuous learning.
  • Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by:
    • Selecting and training, mentoring, and assigning duties.
    • Building a team-based work environment.
    • Establishing performance expectations and conducting regular evaluations.
    • Providing recognition, rewards, and coaching for success and improvement.
    • Promoting a belonging mindset in the workplace.
  • Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.
  • Ensures business needs are met by evaluating the effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field and 4 years’ experience in Continuous Improvement work or related area OR 6 years’ experience in Engineering, Continuous Improvement work, or related area.
  • 4 years’ experience leading teams.
  • Knowledge and application of a functioning Quality Management System (e.g., Statistical Process Control, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, Quality Key Performance Indicators).
  • Demonstrated project ownership resulting in sustainable, long-term savings.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience conducting work measurement, predetermined time systems, and related analysis.
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration or Computer Engineering.

Pay

The annual salary range for this position is $128,000.00 - $192,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and stock.
