Position Summary

The Senior Manager II, Site Engineer - Supply Chain, leads strategic partnerships within the Distribution Center to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement. This role oversees process quality engineering efforts, applying advanced methodologies such as root cause analysis and Six Sigma to enhance performance and sustain improvements. The position requires managing multiple projects, aligning business priorities, and fostering a high-performing team environment. About the team

The team oversees automated grocery building control centers, providing expertise in network grocery automation. They lead project implementation and sustainment by collaborating with stakeholders to define objectives, assess risks, and drive continuous improvement. The team develops tools to enhance project analytics and operational efficiency, offers training support, and ensures alignment with business goals while managing organizational change. Focused on delivering results through effective project and risk management, the team plays a key role in advancing Walmart’s supply chain operations with professionalism and integrity.

What you'll do

  • Lead strategic partnerships with site leadership to drive end-to-end improvements within the Distribution Center.
  • Manage and balance workloads of Process Quality Engineers to support network and site-specific projects.
  • Apply continuous improvement methodologies such as Root Cause Analysis, Six Sigma, and Statistical Process Control to eliminate losses and sustain standards.
  • Support Daily Management System reviews by analyzing performance data and implementing corrective actions.
  • Drive execution of business plans by identifying operational needs, removing barriers, and adjusting performance metrics.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop associates to build high-performing teams aligned with company values.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, promote ethical standards, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous learning.

What you'll bring

  • Extensive knowledge of distribution center operations and supply chain management principles.
  • Proven experience applying continuous improvement tools such as Root Cause Analysis, Six Sigma, and Statistical Process Control.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead multiple initiatives and drive measurable performance improvements.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and mentor teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
  • Proficiency in analyzing data to inform decisions and balance short- and long-term operational priorities.
  • Adaptability to changing business needs and commitment to sustaining process improvements.

Additional compensation

  • Annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
  • Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location).
  • Stock.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field and 4 years’ experience in Continuous Improvement work or related area OR 6 years’ experience in Engineering, Continuous Improvement work or related area.
  • 4 years’ experience leading teams.
  • Knowledge and application of a functioning Quality Management System elements (for example, Statistical Process Control, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, Quality Key Performance Indicators).
  • Demonstrated project ownership resulting in sustainable, long term savings.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters: Business Administration, Masters: Computer Engineering.

Pay Range

The annual salary range for this position is $128,000.00 - $192,000.00
