Senior Manager Human Resources
About the Role
The Senior Human Resources Manager for the Building Construction Products Division provides end-to-end HR leadership for a global organization, partnering with leaders at all levels to deliver people strategies aligned to business objectives. This role supports our Customer Solutions and Commercial Excellence group as well as the Engineering organization and requires leadership across core HR disciplines including employee relations, talent management, workforce planning, compliance, and organizational effectiveness. The position demands strong consulting capability, data-driven decision making, and the ability to influence at multiple organizational levels.
The Building Construction Division is responsible for the design, manufacturing, marketing, and support of Caterpillar's line of small, versatile construction machines and attachments for the commercial construction, residential construction, specialty trades, landscaping, and agriculture industries. Products include small wheel loaders, compact wheel loaders, backhoe loaders, compact track loaders, mini hydraulic excavators, skid steer loaders, telehandlers, and small track-type tractors.
Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted coach providing guidance to leaders and managers on HR-related matters, including performance management, compensation, and benefits.
- Align HR policies and programs for their business unit or region to promote employee engagement, retention, and performance.
- Analyze HR metrics and data to identify trends and opportunities, developing data-driven recommendations for senior management.
- Collaborate with senior management as a strategic advisor to identify and prioritize HR initiatives aligned with the organization's strategic goals.
- Lead a team of HR professionals to collaborate effectively with other Centers of Excellence and serve as thought leaders to the business and HR.
- Develop and implement change management methods and materials to facilitate deployment of HR programs and processes.
Requirements
- Education: Degree or equivalent experience desired.
- Business Acumen: Knowledge of business concepts, tools, and processes needed for sound decision-making; ability to apply this knowledge in diverse situations.
- Global Perspective: Knowledge of issues, opportunities, and challenges for conducting business internationally; ability to apply global perspectives in various situations.

- Talent Management: Knowledge of attracting, recruiting, retaining, and developing talent; ability to ensure the organization achieves its short- and long-term goals.
Additional Information
This position is located in Cary, NC and requires working onsite five days a week. Domestic relocation is available for those who qualify. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Pay
Summary pay range: $159,120.00 - $238,680.00. Compensation and benefits may vary depending on job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance, and experience.
