Senior Manager – HIV Community Marketing
About the role
Join Gilead’s HIV Franchise Marketing team and play a key role in supporting the development of impactful personal promotional content for Community Liaison (CL) field teams. As a Senior Manager, you will help translate brand strategy into practical, field-ready materials that enable meaningful engagement with allied healthcare professionals and community-based providers.
Responsibilities
- Develops and leads key elements of the Allied Healthcare Professionals (AHCP) personal and non-personal promotional brand strategy aligned to the prioritization and brand campaigns.
- Supports the build, execution and sustainment of the Plan of Action (POA) for the CL field team inclusive of the 4 products in the HIV Treatment/Prevention portfolio and develop the prioritization for the 5 HIV therapies in Gilead’s portfolio.
- Drives execution through the management of and partnership with external agencies, internal cross-functional partners, and field CL team.
- Regularly measures the success of initiatives.
- Implements product promotional communication strategy for AHCP promotions, ensuring alignment with the overall brand strategy.
- Aid in the creation of personal and non-personal promotion tactics utilized to drive brand/franchise preference.
- Aid in the development of unbranded disease education for key congresses, events, local/regional marketing strategies and CL team.
- Gain approval for marketing materials through an internal review process, including management reviews and Med-Legal-Reg.
- Secure final production.
- Manage aspects of the non-personal promotions marketing budget and project timelines.
- Manage close working relationships with personal promotion marketing colleagues to ensure synergies across the AHCP marketing mix.
Requirements
This role requires a Bachelor's Degree and Eight Years’ Experience OR a Masters' Degree and Six Years’ Experience OR a Ph.D. A demonstrated record of successful pharmaceutical/biotech marketing progression/experience, a proven ability to leverage market insights from multiple data sources, including market research, advisory boards, and field force input, to uncover needs and develop opportunities, experience with marketing strategy, sales, and regulatory policies and practices, and established ability in the execution of multiple/complex initiatives within the marketing mix, which require tactful cross-functional execution are preferred qualifications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree and 8+ years of experience.
- Masters' Degree and 6+ years of experience.
- Ph.D.
Skills
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated understanding of pharmaceutical regulatory requirements and impact on developing marketing materials.
- Ability to successfully work with external agencies, including advertising, media, and medical education vendors, to develop initiatives and materials.
- Precious experience managing budgets, with a focus on expense budget planning and tracking.
Benefits
The salary range for this position is: $169,320.00 - $219,120.00. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package.
