About the role

The Senior Manager, Enterprise Business Development, will support the evaluation and execution of strategic partnerships to drive revenue and margin growth for the health system. This role focuses on small to medium initiatives, leading the end-to-end process from framing and evaluation to execution.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end process for assigned opportunities, including framing, evaluation, and execution to fruition.
  • Interface with internal and external stakeholders to conduct analytics, develop business cases, and evaluate contracts.
  • Lead and support negotiations, and manage internal or external resources to execute the work.
  • Develop executive communications to update or seek decisions from governance bodies.
  • Support the hiring and development of talent to build a high-performance, growth-oriented culture.
  • Promote an inclusive, collaborative, and results-driven team culture.
  • Assist the Senior Director, Director, VP, or Chief Business Officer on special projects as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree strongly preferred (MBA, MHA, MPH, or related).
  • 3+ years of progressive post-graduate experience (or 4+ years pre-graduate) in the healthcare practice of a leading strategy/management consulting firm, with a focus on strategy, M&A, partnerships, or transformation for large, complex healthcare organizations or academic medical centers.
  • Candidates with experience in Private Equity or Investment Banking professional services may also qualify.
  • Candidates without consulting experience must have at least 5 years of work experience, including 3+ years in M&A, partnerships, transformation, strategy, or related fields within large healthcare organizations or academic medical centers.

Skills

  • Demonstrated success in supporting and executing transactions, partnerships, strategy design, opportunity assessments, competitive analysis, and business case development in healthcare.
  • Exceptional analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills, with expertise in opportunity assessment and data-driven decision-making.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, including stakeholder engagement and change management.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and Word to create compelling presentations that drive decision-making and stakeholder buy-in.
  • Ability to influence at all levels and build trusted relationships with senior leaders, faculty, and external partners.
  • Experience working in or with academic health systems is preferred.
  • Familiarity with the New York metro market is a plus.
  • Experience with advanced analytics tools like SQL, Python, or R is a plus.

Schedule

This role is primarily in-person at Mount Sinai’s Corporate Office, with occasional visits to other facilities in the NYC metropolitan area. Periodic hybrid work may be accommodated as appropriate.

Pay

The salary range for this role is $115,494 – $160,000 annually, depending on experience, education, and operational need. This range does not include bonuses, incentive pay, or other forms of compensation or benefits.
