Senior Manager, Emergency Management and Security

About the Role

Directs all aspects of Emergency Management and campus security for the Abilene Market, including developing and implementing emergency response and recovery plans, building relationships with local, state, and federal agencies, and ensuring compliance with Joint Commission standards for both emergency management and security.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement emergency response and recovery plans
• Build and maintain working relationships with local, state, and federal agency representatives
• Ensure emergency management and security compliance with Joint Commission standards
• Maintain oversight of a private security bureau
• Ensure adequate staffing and resources for campus security
• Coordinate meetings and interview others as needed
• Compose, audit, and monitor policies and procedures
• Conduct research and retrieve data to support emergency management and security initiatives

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s Degree preferred)
• 5 years’ experience in healthcare emergency management or security
• 3 years management experience
• Supervisory experience
• Ability to handle confidential information
• Availability during agency’s operation hours

Qualifications

• Understanding of the physical, psychosocial, and spiritual concerns of terminally ill patients and families
• Knowledge of quality assessment and performance improvement activities
• Proven interpersonal and managerial skills
• Strong written, editing, and computer skills
• Ability to meet required educational training as Administrator of Hendrick Hospice Care
