Senior Manager, Security

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Manager, Security to join the team of a leader in the Enterprise Technology space. This role will lead a security function focused on enabling engineering teams to own security outcomes while maintaining strong operational standards. You will help streamline security processes, reduce unnecessary noise in findings and escalations, and drive clearer accountability across product and engineering partners. The position also plays a key role in incident management, stakeholder communication, and reporting on security posture and risk metrics. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $204,500 – $330,700 annually Responsibilities Manage team workload and prioritize the highest-impact security work Simplify security processes for engineering teams by clarifying ownership and increasing automation Guide product teams in taking responsibility for their security health Streamline the routing of security findings to reduce noise and decision fatigue Act as incident manager for security issues, overseeing escalations and operational duties Publish regular updates on security posture and risk metrics to stakeholders Qualifications 5+ years of experience in security or engineering management, including leading senior engineers Proven success transitioning security from a gatekeeping function to team ownership with measurable outcomes Experience serving as incident manager for security incidents in a SaaS environment, including external communications Ability to guide teams through technical trade-offs and mentor senior engineers Strong skill in tracking and interpreting metrics effectively Familiarity with AWS security at scale and external audits such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, and FedRAMP Strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences Empathetic leadership style that fosters collaboration Benefits Health, vision, and dental insurance Mental health benefits Restricted Stock Units (RSUs) 15% bonus target Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
