Senior Manager, Security
Position Summary
The Security Manager will be responsible for ensuring that DSV's transportation and logistics operations are in compliance with security regulations and requirements. They will work closely with the security team and other departments to develop and implement security policies and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Develop and implement security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and requirements.
Take responsibility for coordinating the company’s response to any theft or breach of security in a cross-functional manner, (i.e. linking police, internal Operations, external Security providers and the company’s insurance function).
Conduct site security assessments to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities.
Collaborate with the operations team to develop and implement security solutions that meet customer requirements.
Conduct security training for DSV employees and contractors.
Manage security incidents and investigations, including reporting to relevant authorities and customers.
Stay up-to-date with security regulations and requirements and provide feedback to the management team.
Conduct security audits and risk assessments of suppliers and vendors.
Support the Business Development Function as it relates to new Business.
Maintain relationships with regional law enforcement bodies to benefit from crime intelligence.
Skills and Abilities
Extensive knowledge of security regulations and compliance requirements.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience with security management systems, such as C-TPAT and AEO.
Educational Background / Work Experience
A bachelor's degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, or a related field is preferred.
At least 5 years of experience in security management, preferably in the transportation and logistics industry.
Other Skills
Qualifications
Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification.
Experience with international security regulations and requirements.
Familiarity with physical and cyber security.
Knowledge and experience within a security field (perhaps police or military).
Ability to interact with personnel at all levels internally and externally.
Proficiency with audit and risk assessment functions.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills including written and oral to deal with a wide range of customers both internal and external.
Computer Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.
Experience with security management systems.
Supervisory Responsibilities (if any)
May supervise security personnel.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee rarely is exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
Qualifications
The expected base pay range is $112,000.00 – $145,000.00 Annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.
