Orveon is a new kind of beauty company on a powerful mission: to change the way the world thinks about beauty. We dare to do things differently — pushing boundaries with purpose, inspiring creativity, and moving with intention in everything we do. We are a collective of three premium and prestige beauty brands: bareMinerals, BUXOM, and Laura Mercier. With offices in New York, London, and Columbus, we combine the energy of an entrepreneurial spirit with the scale and ambition to change the way the world thinks about beauty.

Our culture is built on our IMPACT values — Innovative, Motivated, Passionate, Accountable, Collaborative, and Thoughtful. These aren't just words; they define how we show up for each other, for our brands, and for the world around us. We gain strength from our differences and believe that progress happens when we move as one. We are proud to offer a hybrid work model to support the work-life balance of our teams, and we are committed to fostering an inclusive, agile environment where everyone can thrive.

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Manager of Ecommerce Merchandising to lead commercial merchandising strategy across bareMinerals and Buxom on brand.com. This role owns site merchandising, assortment strategy, and performance analytics to drive revenue, conversion, and margin — and requires a proven track record of translating merchandising decisions into measurable commercial results.

Responsibilities

  • Commercial Strategy & Performance
    • Own the merchandising strategy and sales accountability for bareMinerals and Buxom across brand.com, driving revenue, conversion, AOV, and margin targets
    • Analyze sales trends, category performance, and SKU-level productivity to identify growth opportunities and underperformance early
    • Set and manage promotional cadence and discount strategy in partnership with DTC and finance leadership
    • Translate channel-level revenue goals into SKU and category-level merchandising plans
  • Site Merchandising & Customer Experience
    • Lead homepage, category, and PDP merchandising strategy, ensuring assortment presentation reflects sales priorities and inventory position
    • Partner with UX/creative teams to optimize product discovery, shade-matching tools, and cross-sell/upsell placements
    • Own search and navigation merchandising (facets, sort logic, featured collections) to maximize conversion
    • Drive subscription and replenishment merchandising strategy to grow repeat purchase rate
  • Assortment & Inventory Management
    • Manage online assortment planning, including new launch sequencing, discontinuations, and exclusive/digital-first SKUs
    • Partner with planning/allocation teams to align inventory availability with merchandising and promotional calendars
    • Monitor sell-through and inventory health, flagging aged or at-risk stock for markdown or promotional action
  • Cross-Functional Leadership
    • Partner with marketing, CRM, and media teams to align merchandising priorities with campaign and promotional calendars
    • Collaborate with brand teams to ensure merchandising execution reflects brand positioning and product storytelling
    • Work with creative/content teams on asset needs (photography, copy, video) tied to merchandising priorities
    • Present merchandising performance, plans, and recommendations to senior/executive leadership
  • Analytics & Reporting
    • Build and maintain merchandising performance reporting (weekly/monthly) covering sales, conversion, and inventory KPIs
    • Conduct competitive shopping and PDP audits to identify best practices and gaps vs. competitors
    • Use customer and behavioral data (GA4, on-site search, reviews) to inform merchandising decisions
  • Team & Process Management
    • Manage and develop direct reports or coordinators supporting merchandising execution
    • Establish and refine merchandising calendars, workflows, and SOPs to improve speed and consistency across both brands
    • Balance competing priorities across two brands with distinct customer bases and price points

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of ecommerce merchandising experience, ideally in beauty, CPG, or multi-brand DTC environments
  • Proven track record of driving measurable commercial results through merchandising strategy (revenue, conversion, margin)
  • Strong analytical skills; comfortable working in Shopify, GA4, and BI/reporting tools
  • Experience managing assortment and inventory strategy in partnership with planning teams
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration and executive communication skills
  • People management experience preferred

Benefits

  • “Hybrid First” Model – 3 days per week in office, balancing virtual and face-to-face interactions
  • “Work From Anywhere” – Freedom to work six (6) weeks annually from the location of your choice
  • Complimentary Products – Free and discounted products on new releases and fan-favorites
  • Professional Development – Exposure to senior leadership, learning and development programs, and career advancement opportunities
  • Community Engagement – Volunteer opportunities in the communities in which we live and work
