About the role
The Sr. Manager of Danaher Business System (DBS) for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for driving continuous process improvement across Reagent and Hardware Manufacturing facilities. This onsite role at the Miami (Kendall) facility reports to the Senior Director of Operations and is part of the Manufacturing Leadership team.
You will lead targeted, sustainable improvements in SQDCI (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Innovation) tied to Policy Deployment (PD) and Daily Management (DM) by leveraging DBS tools, consulting skills, and change management processes.
Responsibilities
- Assist site/company leadership in developing a DBS roadmap to drive sustainable improvement in results.
- Provide formal and informal DBS training and coaching.
- Support the achievement of business unit Policy Deployment and Strategic Plan objectives.
- Ensure successful kaizen events by installing and ensuring compliance with the kaizen process, including:
- Planning kaizens with a dynamic funnel process tied to PD and Daily Management.
- Kaizen execution.
- Sustainment of kaizens.
Requirements
- BS or BA degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field with 14+ years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 12+ years of Operations or Engineering experience.
- Mastery of DBS tools, especially those related to Manufacturing continuous improvement (Lean Conversion, VRK, TPM, DMS).
- Ability to design, develop, and implement a DBS roadmap for an operating business.
- Superior consulting and influencing skills, with the ability to work across organizations.
- Strong communication, training, and adult learning theory skills.
- Proficiency in writing, administration, and computer skills (word processing, graphics, spreadsheets, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with various manufacturing process technologies.
- Experience with Materials and planning systems.
