About the role
Seeking a Senior Manager to join the Business Tax Services team, providing expert advice on corporate and individual tax matters.
Responsibilities
- Advise clients on tax planning, compliance, research, provision work, and M&A activities, supporting new business development.
- Identify, research, and resolve complex tax issues, including domestic and international tax implications in consolidated returns and reorganizations.
- Conduct tax due diligence, prepare reports, and analyze tax consequences to determine appropriate treatment.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to leverage industry knowledge.
- Develop, motivate, and train staff-level team members.
Qualifications
- At least eight years of recent public accounting and/or corporate tax experience.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- CPA, EA, JD/LLM, or other approved credentials required within one year of hire if not already obtained.
- Fluent in both English and Japanese.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of corporate tax, including ASC 740, with excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple engagements and client service teams effectively.
