About the role
The Sr Manager of Behavioral Health is a highly skilled and experienced behavioral health clinician leader, who is responsible for providing clinical, operational, administrative, and managerial support to the BH teams. This position will be responsible for the oversight and management of the market behavioral health staff and overall behavioral health operations.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage the market behavioral health team clinically and operationally.
- Work closely with the Executive Director, Market Medical Directors, and the Sr. Director for Operations to set market level strategy and tactics to drive performance.
- Collaborates and communicates with management, supervisors, and staff to identify challenges and opportunities and develop creative and innovative solutions for operational excellence.
- Responsible for monitoring and reporting out on panel size, key metrics, and overall productivity and effectiveness of BH team members.
- Responsible for BH's contribution to decreasing the overall cost of care for the Market's population, through high quality BH care focused on populations with complex needs, transitions of care, and ongoing innovation and process improvement around interventions.
- Manages the budget for the areas of accountability to ensure resource stewardship and financial targets are met or exceeded.
- Oversee the operational work of any prescribing providers on the team (MD or NP). Specifically, the Senior Manager is responsible for general oversight of the clinical workflow of prescribing providers, although will not provide supervision or have oversight responsibilities for the medical decision making of prescribing providers.
- Lead Market BH quality and safety reviews and be responsible for adhering to quality metrics.
- Participate in BH programming design and innovation with the Head of BH and other Market BH Managers, as well as lead Market implementation of BH initiatives.
- Account for market specific staffing differences and ensure that, regardless of the local differences, all teams adhere to the CBH centralized model expectations and requirements.
- Create an environment for high workforce engagement; onboard, coach, set expectations, conduct performance appraisals, provide career development, succession planning, corrective action and recognition for BH staff.
- Respond to pages during certain working hours for urgent BH escalations.
- Assist with initial and ongoing BH related training of Outreach Specialists, Community Health Partners, and Behavioral Health Specialists.
Qualifications
- Work experience: 5-years post Master's Degree; 3+ years of behavioral health management experience
- Education: Master's degree
Pay
The expected salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $145,000.00 annually.
