Senior Manager, Adjusting Services - Homeowners Liability (Hybrid)

About the role

You will provide leadership for a team of frontline leaders/managers whose staff handle the settlement of homeowners liability and adjudication of 3rd party claims, involving the most technically challenging claims. You will report to a Director of Adjusting Services. In this hybrid role, you will be expected to work a minimum of 10 days per month from the office. You should reside within approximately 35-50 miles of one of the following office locations: Madison, WI 53783; Boston, MA 02110; Hopkins, MN 55343 or Phoenix, AZ 85034.

Responsibilities

  • Create a collaborative, performance-driven work environment by promoting trust, transparency, and inclusion.
  • Work with team members to set clear goals, provide feedback, perform performance assessments, and support ongoing development.
  • Lead with influence and expertise. Contribute to division or department leadership team. Communicate and support organization mission, vision, values and policies.
  • Lead teams to ensure delivery of services that exceed customer expectations and compliance with regulatory and company standards.
  • Maintain awareness of existing and proposed legislation, court decisions and new trends in claims litigation to monitor our compliance and recommend process changes.
  • Direct claims managers and staff on all aspects of claims handling including those related to coverage and escalated through the team.
  • Review, evaluate and maintain file-handling process to meet company and statutory guidelines.
  • Participate in corporate claims programs including quality file handling, process improvement and training of staff.
  • Prepare and manage annual operating budget. Help prepare business plans.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support, or service.
  • Demonstrated extensive knowledge of claim handling processes.
  • Demonstrated thorough understanding of policy language, coverages and underwriting intent.
  • Demonstrated organization and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and adhere company productivity guidelines.
  • Demonstrated claims handling experience and licensing.
  • Demonstrated ability to recognize developing problems/conflicts and ability to resolve.

Licenses & travel

  • Obtain state specific property casualty claims licensing as required.
  • Valid driver's license required plus an acceptable driving record.
  • Travel Requirements: Up to 25%.
  • Catastrophe duty up to 75% as applicable.

Pay

Position Compensation Range $113,000.00 - $194,000.00 Pay Rate Type Salary Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location. Relocation support is offered for eligible candidates.
