Senior Insurance Product Analyst - Homeowners (Hybrid)
About the role
We are seeking a strategic Senior Product Analyst to manage the technical aspects of insurance product development and lead programs that contribute to the broader enterprise strategy through informed insights. The role focuses on developing new Homeowners insurance products using contract language, underwriting guidelines, systems/platforms, automation, and pricing/predictive analytics. You will identify potential insurance markets, create strategic plans for market entry, manage the product development lifecycle, and improve products to increase profitability, growth, and customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Serve as project lead for implementation of products and services.
- Monitor and analyze the performance of product lines, agents, or books of business.
- Evaluate profit factors and conduct performance data analysis to provide product strategy recommendations relating to profit, growth, retention, and overall book of business.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with other lines to identify product gaps and opportunities.
- Research and develop concepts for complex new or enhanced products and/or services.
- Work with partners in pricing/actuarial, claims, etc. to ensure product compliance and financial viability.
- Prepare contract language, develop initial underwriting guidelines and standards, and oversee development of new predictive analytics including pricing models and other predictive models.
- Serve as subject matter expert in development of contract language and/or underwriting guidelines; ensure product compliance.
- Produce detailed competitive research and analysis for personal lines products using a variety of information sources and tools to support decision making; analyze all available data to form conclusions regarding competitive position in the marketplace and provide recommendations to leadership.
- Provide expertise regarding how competitor actions and industry trends influence personal lines ability to meet corporate and divisional objectives; make recommendations to management regarding operational and product changes that may enhance competitive position.
- Stay abreast of all rate changes, rating enhancements and program changes by competitors; research competitor filings, rate and rule manuals to ascertain changes made and their impact on competitive position; ensure analysis and reporting accuracy explaining drivers and insights relating to competitive position changes.
- Monitor performance post-implementation, including customer and agent satisfaction and financial benefits realization.
Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements
- Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service.
- Demonstrated experience performing complex financial, actuarial or business analysis.
- Solid knowledge and understanding of customer, business industry, insurance, underwriting guidelines and risk concepts in area of expertise.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills to review complex products, and/or lines of business.
- Demonstrated experience making independent decisions.
- Demonstrated experience in project management methodologies, practices, techniques and tools.
You will report to the Senior Manager, Product. This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 10 days per month in the office. You should reside within approximately 35–50 miles of one of the following office locations: Madison, WI 53783; Boston, MA 02110; Denver, CO 80112; Hopkins, MN; Keene, NH 03431; St. Joseph, MO 64507; Phoenix, AZ 85034. Madison & Boston are strongly preferred.

Up to 10%.
Pay
Compensation range: $88,000.00 – $145,000.00 per year. Pay may vary based on job level and geographic work location. Relocation support is offered for eligible candidates.
