About the role

MV Transportation is seeking a Senior Management Recruiter - Public Transportation to source external mid-level management and above talent. This role supports Business Development bids and proposals, recruits for Corporate positions (Finance, IT, HR, and Operations), and contributes to building an external talent bench. The recruiter will manage hiring processes for Business Development and Corporate teams while maintaining pipelines for future talent demands.

Responsibilities

  • Source, screen, interview, and propose top external talent for bids and proposals to meet RFP deadlines, with quick turnaround times as required.
  • Collaborate with Business Development leadership on bids, proposals, and re-bids to conduct intakes and define job requirements and candidate skill sets.
  • Manage and expand the external talent bench for Business Development and Corporate openings.
  • Provide regular recruitment progress updates to Business Development and Corporate teams.
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience, including implementing feedback loops for passive and active candidates.
  • Support company recruiting processes and serve as a resource throughout the recruitment cycle for Business Development and Corporate positions.
  • Creatively source qualified applicants using traditional and non-traditional methods, including social media, passive sourcing, direct sourcing, networking, employment agencies, internet searches, and postings.
  • Determine candidate qualifications by interviewing applicants, analyzing responses, and comparing qualifications to job requirements.
  • Build relationships with industry sources such as transportation programs, community organizations, professional associations, military resources, and other relevant networks.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three (3)+ years’ experience in sourcing, recruiting, and interviewing in a professional environment.
  • Strong relationship management, communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage relationships with high-level passive candidates and internal executives, with top-notch interviewing skills and subject-matter expertise.
  • Experience with transit union environments is highly desirable.
  • Solid knowledge of State and Federal laws pertaining to recruitment.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems.
  • Knowledge of common recruiting metrics (e.g., time to fill, cost per hire, quality of hire) and a track record of delivering and improving outcomes is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
