Senior Maintenance Training Technical Expert

MTSI is seeking a Senior Maintenance Training Technical Expert to support a high‑priority U.S. Air Force program by helping plan, develop, and sustain advanced training systems at Wright‑Patterson AFB. You will provide direct advisory and assistance support (A&AS) to U.S. Air Force customers in a high visibility U.S. Air Force Program OfficeYou will help the customer Program Office provide planning and acquisition of cost-effective, long-term critical U.S. Air Force capabilities in an Integrated Product Team structureYou will work side by side with customers and other A&AS contractors in the Program OfficeWorking with the customer, you will also interface with major defense contractors who supply critical defense capabilitiesThe majority of your work will be performed in the customer workspaceSome travel will be requiredYou will typically work on high-visibility or mission critical aspects of the program and perform all functional duties independentlyYou may oversee the efforts of less senior staff and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job How you will contribute to our National Security and Defense mission: As a Senior Maintenance Training Technical Expert with MTSI, you will be responsible for helping your Air Force customer plan, develop, upgrade, monitor, maintain, and support training systems and processes for a top priority program. You will interact daily with Air Force program managers and industry subject matter experts. This position will be located at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio. You’ll be a great fit for this role if: You have a passion for aerospace, defense, aircraft maintenance, training systems, and advanced technologiesYou understand the urgent need to field modern defense systems and give our airmen the best possible toolsPaying attention to detail and providing excellent customer service in a professional environment is a skill you excel atYou are passionate about continuous learning and growth, and you seek opportunities to challenge yourselfYou are driven to make a meaningful impact through your work Responsibilities Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:Supporting all aspects of weapon training systems development, production, and fielding related to the DoD's integrated Product Support Elements PSEs:Life Cycle Sustainment Management to include Product Support Management, Supply Support, Packaging, Handling, Storage, and Transportation, and Maintenance Planning and ManagementTechnical Management to include Design Interface, Sustaining Engineering, Technical Data, and Computer ResourcesInfrastructure Management to include Facilities and Infrastructure, Manpower and Personnel, and Training and Training SupportSupporting evaluation of logistics systems requirements, designs, and products to ensure the weapon training systems satisfy the integrated PSEsSupporting development, review, and coordination of logistics support documentation including Life Cycle Sustainment Plans (LCSP), Technical Orders (TOs), Training Coursework and Manuals, and technical data productsSupporting the Depot Source of Repair process, the TO Data Conference, technical data reviews, and Logistics Support Analysis (LSA) tasksSupporting review and coordination of contractor Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) analyses and recommendations Qualifications Required 10 years of relevant DoD work logistics and maintenance experience4 years of experience in a SAP and/or SCI environment (within the last 5 years)5 years of experience with USAF maintenance training systems and courseworkUnderstand and be capable of supporting the USAF Training Systems Requirement Analysis processExperience with training systems technical orders and technical dataUnderstand the process to stand up maintenance training capability at a MOB Education BA/BS degree in logistics, management, engineering, or science/math is highly desired Clearance Requirements Top Secret (TS) security clearance (with SCI and SAP eligibility) #Skyline #AerospaceCareers #DefenseJobs #AirForceCareers #WPAFBJobs #TrainingSystems #MaintenanceTraining #LogisticsCareers #DoDCareers #DefenseAcquisition #TechnicalExpert
