Allient Inc. is in growth mode and currently seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician to join our team in Oshkosh, WI.
About the role
We are seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician to perform advanced troubleshooting, repair, preventive maintenance, and equipment improvement activities across a variety of mechanical and electrical systems.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production and facility equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control system issues
- Diagnose equipment failures and conduct root cause analysis to minimize downtime
- Support equipment installations, start-ups, testing, and commissioning activities
- Read and interpret schematics, electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
- Respond to equipment alarms and emergency maintenance situations as needed
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and technical documentation
- Assist with equipment upgrades, continuous improvement initiatives, and automation projects
- Partner with Operations, Engineering, and external service providers to improve equipment reliability
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company policies, regulations, and applicable codes
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in technical, industrial, manufacturing, electronics, or engineering preferred
- Five or more years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in multiple trades (electrical, mechanical, HVAC/R, plumbing, or carpentry)
- HVAC, MBO, NJ, CFC, NITEC, or related trade certifications preferred
- Strong troubleshooting skills involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control systems
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, and technical drawings
- Experience with PLC-based controls, motors, drives, industrial equipment, and CMMS/EAM systems
- Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices, safety regulations, and building codes
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and work in industrial environments for extended periods
- Frequent lifting of up to 60 pounds and occasional lifting of heavier items with assistance
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors and in varying environmental conditions
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM (40 hours per week minimum).
