About the role
Merrill Gardens at Sheldon Park is currently seeking a General Manager to support residents in their beautiful community.
Responsibilities
- Ensures financial performance of the community by creating, managing, and abiding by the approved budget.
- Maintains accounting compliance by overseeing community financial records, including rent receipts, petty cash disbursements, miscellaneous income and expenditures, and payroll.
- Maintains HR compliance by overseeing personnel records of all employees, including proper and complete documentation for all new hires, ongoing training documentation, performance evaluations, timely merit increases, and performance management.
- Provides the Seattle office with all necessary reports on time and in the proper format.
- Implements and enforces all policies and procedures of the Operations Manual, Food Services Manual, Team Member Handbook, and State Licensing Regulations.
- Provides active leadership in creating and maintaining the highest standards of customer satisfaction in facilities, food service, activities, housekeeping, staff interactions, and resident care.
- Responsible for managing community to a minimum of 94% occupancy rate.
- Monitors marketing process to ensure minimum standards are met on a weekly basis.
- Maintains accountability for the overall functionality of the community.
- Interacts regularly with Residents and attends resident functions.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Proficiency in computer skills including MS Outlook, Word, etc.
- 21 Years of age with college degree (Preferred)
- Must have 3-5 years of management experience.
Physical Requirements
- This role requires regular use of a computer and may involve occasional lifting (up to 20 lbs), bending, or reaching.
