Wilson Sonsini is looking for a Senior Paralegal for our Litigation group to reside near our San Francisco, San Diego, Los Angeles, or Palo Alto California offices. This role will support attorneys in all aspects of litigation, with a focus on complex civil and technology litigation matters, particularly for internet companies. This position is available as a hybrid or mostly remote work schedule. Responsibilities:Assist with gathering and compiling support documents for filingsAssist attorneys with preparing and filing pleadings and other court documents in various jurisdictions across state and federal courts, including appellate courtsAssist with Bluebook formatting, cite-checking, and shepardizing case lawFamiliarity with civil procedures and local, state and federal court rulesAbility to perform docket and legal research in Lexis, Westlaw, SEC, PACER, and similar resourcesAssist with the collection, review, production, and organization of discovery materialsProficiency with eDiscovery platforms (e.g., Relativity), and ability to supervise vendor workAbility to use AI-assisted technologies appropriately and responsibly and ability to adapt to AI-assisted workflowsManage discovery responses, subpoenas, and deposition preparationPrepare and maintain various indices and logs for case teams related to discovery and other chronologiesManage case calendars and deadlines (as a supplement to the calendar department)Assist with hearing/trial preparation and logistics, including preparation of witness files, management of exhibits, setting up trial space, and attending trial in-person, as requiredInteracting with clients, expert witnesses, consultants, opposing counsel and court clerks Requirements:7+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal is requiredA college degree and/or paralegal certificate is requiredProficiency with Google Workspace (Drive, Sheets, Docs, and related tools) is requiredStellar project management and organizational skillsGreat attention to detail and ability to multitaskGood judgment, intuition and problem-solving skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsReliable and dependableClient-focused mindsetProfessional and composed under pressure and in fast-paced environmentsAbility to work effectively and efficiently with attorneys and staff across all levels and officesAbility and willingness to work overtime as needed (sometimes on short notice)Willingness to travel for trials and other client work if needed The primary locations for this job posting are in San Francisco, San Diego, Los Angeles and Palo Alto but other locations may be listed. The actual base pay offered will depend upon a variety of factors, including but not limited to the selected candidate’s qualifications, years of relevant experience, level of education, professional certifications and licenses, and work location. The anticipated pay range for this position is as follows: San Francisco, Palo Alto: $56.31 - $76.19 per hour.San Diego, Los Angeles, and all other locations: $53.50 - $72.38 per hour. The compensation for this position may include overtime and a discretionary year-end merit bonus based on performance. We offer a highly competitive salary and benefits package.
