Summary/Objective

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced litigation environment and brings a strong combination of technical proficiency and litigation experience. Key qualifications include expertise in document organization, discovery management, trial preparation and support, docketing, and Bluebook cite checking.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary case manager, overseeing all stages of litigation from intake through appeal, including tracking document productions and ensuring the case file is complete and trial-ready.
  • Calculate, docket, and monitor deadlines by researching and applying court rules across multiple jurisdictions to ensure accurate calendaring and compliance.
  • Maintain meticulous and organized case files, while adhering to established firm systems, processes, and naming conventions.
  • Prepare legal correspondence, pleadings, discovery requests, and other litigation documents with meticulous accuracy.
  • Schedule and coordinate medical examinations, depositions, mediations, and court appearances.
  • Cook up and oversee all aspects of trial preparation, including exhibits, witness materials, trial presentations, and onsite trial support.
  • Finalize briefs by performing comprehensive legal and factual cite-checking, proofreading, compiling exhibits, and confirming adherence to applicable citation and filing requirements.
  • Develop and maintain case-specific workflows and checklists to support efficiency, consistency, and defensibility in high-volume, multi-party matters.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required or a combination of education, certifications, and demonstrable work experience.
  • 6+ years of litigation and trial experience, complex litigation is required.
  • Proficiency in using legal research tools, including Westlaw.
  • Expertise in researching and interpreting court rules to guide filing practices, as well as performing accurate Bluebook cite-checking of briefs.
  • Experience with iManage or a similar document management tool, as well as Relativity and other eDiscovery platforms.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize a high-volume workload to meet time-critical deadlines.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

Regular hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., including lunch hour. This is a full time position working from our Denver office. Overtime is paid at 1.5 times the hourly pay rate when the employee works more than 40 hours in a Sunday through Saturday work week. It is important to note that this is a hybrid position, requiring you to work three days in the office with the option of working two days from home following an initial on-boarding period.

Travel

Travel will be required for trials both within Colorado and out of state. It is expected that the team might handle 2-3 trials per year.

Pay

Salary Range: $75,000 – 110,000 annually. The final salary will be commensurate with education and experience.
