Senior Level CEI Inspector

About the role

Responsibilities

• Skilled sub-professional engineering work in the field and office
• Act as Assistant Project Manager, perform inspection of individual construction phases, or represent CEI presence on projects as owner's representative
• Review and direct inspection duties of all project inspectors
• Perform basic surveying tasks
• Document inspection and management of a construction project

Requirements

• Five-plus years of experience in Construction Engineering and Inspection on road and/or bridge transportation construction projects
• Good organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic computer skills
• The following Certifications are preferred:
• SCDOT Asphalt Roadway Technician
• SCDOT Earthwork and Base Course Technician
• Nuclear Gauge Technician Certification
• SCDOT Concrete Technician Level 1 & 2
• Certified Erosion Prevention and Sediment Control Inspector (CEPSCI)

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to pass a background check

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
