Responsibilities
- Skilled sub-professional engineering work in the field and office
- Act as Assistant Project Manager, perform inspection of individual construction phases, or represent CEI presence on projects as owner's representative
- Review and direct inspection duties of all project inspectors
- Perform basic surveying tasks
- Document inspection and management of a construction project
Requirements
- Five-plus years of experience in Construction Engineering and Inspection on road and/or bridge transportation construction projects
- Good organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer skills
- The following Certifications are preferred:
- SCDOT Asphalt Roadway Technician
- SCDOT Earthwork and Base Course Technician
- Nuclear Gauge Technician Certification
- SCDOT Concrete Technician Level 1 & 2
- Certified Erosion Prevention and Sediment Control Inspector (CEPSCI)
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to pass a background check
