Senior Level CEI Inspector

About the role

Neel-Schaffer is a design firm with offices in nine states, offering a dynamic environment where professionals can collaborate, innovate, and grow. This position is available in Chipley, FL, and involves skilled sub-professional engineering work in the field and office.

Responsibilities

• Review and direct inspection duties of all project inspectors
• Act as the Assistant Project Manager
• Document and inspect construction projects
• Survey and draft as applicable to construction projects
• Manage and direct inspection activities

Requirements

• Eight years of experience in construction inspection, surveying, or highway materials testing and inspection
• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or Registered Professional Engineer with two years of experience in construction inspection, surveying, or highway materials testing and inspection
• Good organizational and communication skills
• Good problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic computer skills
• Some travel may be required

Qualifications

• Preferred certifications include:
• Certified Asphalt Technician Level I – Field Tester
• Certified Level II – Quality Management Technician
• Certified Concrete Technician (ACI and ALDOT Certification)
• Certified Asphalt Roadway Technician
• Work Zone Safety Certification
• Radiological Safety Course Certification
• Qualified Credentialed Inspector (QCI)
